Neurocognive Disorder involves progressive cognitive decline, such as memory loss, language difficulties, impaired judgment, and executive dysfunction. The associated mood and behavioural changes further impair daily living.

Late-Life Depression
Depression in older adults is often triggered by illness, retirement, bereavement, loss of independence, or social isolation. A study in 2000 found the suicide rates among the elderly to be three times higher than that in other age groups.

Late-Life Anxiety Disorders
Common anxiety disorders in seniors include Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Phobias. Excessive worry, fear, and avoidance behaviors can impair their quality of life and social engagement.
